Yesterday, on October 24, marking the birthday of Prabhas, the makers of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Spirit gave fans a surprise by unveiling the first glimpse of their highly anticipated film. While
the teaser had fans rejoicing, it was the title card that grabbed the most attention. Instead of calling him the Rebel Star—as he is popularly known—the audio teaser declared him India’s Biggest Superstar, sparking debate among Shah Rukh Khan’s fans.
Reacting to the title card, fans started questioning the makers for disrespecting the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. While some slammed the title, others shared Google search results for “India’s Biggest Superstar” to prove that no one is bigger than Shah Rukh Khan in India. One wrote, “India’s Biggest Superstar? Nice try, but there’s only one Badshah who rules hearts from Mumbai to Morocco — #SRK. Legacy isn’t declared in posters, it’s earned over decades of magic, charm, and global love.” Another fan, taking a humorous dig, shared Manoj Pahwa’s picture from Ba***ds of Bollywood and wrote, “Ghante ka biggest superstar.” A third fan added, “No disrespect to Prabhas, but ‘India’s biggest superstar’? SRK literally exists.”

Meanwhile, Prabhas’ fans came to his defense. One wrote, “SRK? The guy whose last four movies needed cameos, remakes, or 500 Cr budgets just to break even? Prabhas dropped Salaar like a cultural nuke—zero Bollywood safety net, pure South swagger, still printing money worldwide. SRK’s ‘biggest’ title runs on nostalgia and PR.” Another commented, “India’s Biggest Indian Superstar box office record se banta hai, jo Prabhas ke paas hai.”
What do we know about Spirit?
Spirit, starring Prabhas in the lead role, is touted to feature the Baahubali actor in a never-before-seen avatar as an angry young police officer who locks horns with a mafia syndicate. If the buzz is anything to go by, the upcoming action drama will be one of Prabhas’ most intense roles, with Sandeep’s dynamic direction adding to its appeal.
Initially, the film was reported to star Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but the actress walked out of the project due to failed negotiations. After her exit, Triptii Dimri was roped in to play the lead, marking her Telugu cinema debut. The rest of the cast has been kept under wraps.
