Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is reportedly preparing for her return to acting and may be considering projects in the OTT space as part of her comeback after giving birth to son Vihaan Kaushal last year.
According to a report in India Today, the actress has resumed reading scripts and is carefully assessing potential opportunities before committing to her next role.
Katrina Kaif To Make Acting Comeback With OTT Project?
India Today reports that Katrina, who embraced motherhood in November last year, is in no hurry to sign a project and is focused on finding a story that resonates with her current priorities. The actor is reportedly expected to return to film sets in the second half of 2027 and is exploring a range of options, including OTT projects.
“Katrina Kaif is back to reading scripts after embracing motherhood recently. The actress is reportedly planning to return to a film set by the second half of 2027 and is actively looking for the right script, something that is worth her time. For the same, she seems interested in exploring streaming projects that could provide better opportunities for actors,” a source told the publication.
If a streaming project materialises, it would mark Katrina’s OTT debut. Despite the growing shift among Bollywood stars towards OTT content, Katrina has yet to explore the long-format storytelling format.
Katrina Kaif’s Last Project
Katrina Kaif was last seen in Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi, which was released in theatres on January 12, 2024. The Hindi-Tamil bilingual received positive reviews, with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi earning praise for their performances and on-screen chemistry. Since then, she has largely stayed out of the spotlight, leading to continued speculation about her next professional move.
Before Merry Christmas, Katrina was seen in Tiger 3 (2023) with Salman Khan.
Katrina married Vicky Kaushal in December 2021 in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, attended by their close friends and family members. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Vihaan Kaushal, on November 7, 2025.
