A biopic on the legendary actress Madhubala is in the making, and there are several reports about the project that are doing the rounds on social media. It is one of the most awaited films, and even the fans
are excited to see who will feature in the biopic. For the longest time, Kiara Advani’s name was associated with the project. However, the reports of her doing the biopic were rubbished recently. Now, a new report suggests that Sai Pallavi, who is set to make her debut with Ek Din, was one of the choices to play Madhubala.
Sai Pallavi was one of the choices for the Madhubala biopic
According to Filmfare, Sai Pallavi, who is looking forward to her Bollywood debut, was in the running to bag the iconic role of Madhubala in her upcoming biopic, alongside Kiara. Reportedly, Sai Pallavi was one of producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s choices for the movie. A source told the portal Bhansali wanted a fresh face as Madhubala, and Sai Pallavi fit the bill, owing to her very limited appearance in Bollywood.
However, the talks ultimately did not materialise in Sai Pallavi joining the cast. While the source did not reveal the exact reason behind this, it is believed that scheduling conflicts with her previously committed projects, including Ramayana, may have played a role.
Recently, even Saiyaara fame Aneet Padda’s name made headlines. But YRF’s team denied the developments.
Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi’s first film in Hindi will be Ek Din opposite Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan. The film will hit theatres on May 1. Apart from this, Sai already has Ramayana Part 1 and 2 with Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, and Yash. She will be seen playing the role of Sita, while Ranbir, Sunny, and Yash will be seen as Lord Rama, Hanuman, and Ravana, respectively. Part 1 of the Nitesh Tiwari directorial will hit theatres on Diwali 2026, while the second part is planned for 2027. Currently, the shooting for Ramayana Part 2 is ongoing.
