Virat Kohli was at his jovial best on Saturday (January 11) during India’s first ODI against New Zealand, showing his full range of emotions to celebrate the bowlers’ wickets in the first innings.
The first
example came in the 34th over when Kuldeep Yadav outfoxed Glenn Phillips. Skipper Shubman Gill set up a leg-side field and Kuldeep lured Phillips into a drive, which he edged to Shreyas Iyer at point. The vice-captain took the catch comfortably, but it needed him to take a few steps forward and fall to the ground.
Kohli joked about it in the team huddle, pretending to be a snake charmer in front of Iyer. Watch it here:

Two overs later, Prasidh Krishna cleaned up Mitchell Hay with a beautiful nip-backer with the slightly old ball. It came in sharply off the pitch to beat the inside edge. As Krishna celebrated, cameras also turned to Kohli who did a little ‘Bye’ wave at him. Watch it here:
