Netflix has built fresh buzz around its upcoming action thriller Ikka, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and propelled by a rare reunion between two of Bollywood’s most-respected actors. Sunny Deol and Akshaye
Khanna are set to share screen space again after nearly three decades — a pairing that once delighted audiences in the 1997 war film Border (their last collaboration) and now returns in this high-octane Netflix original. The film was officially announced at the Netflix event on Tuesday. Ikka has officially wrapped shooting.
The teaser opens with Sunny Deol preparing for a court hearing, establishing him as a lawyer. He is seen looking at himself in the mirror before walking into the courtroom. The mood shifts as Akshaye Khanna makes his entry, flanked by constables, setting the stage for a tense face-off between the two. The film also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome and Sanjeeda Sheikh in key roles.
Netflix shared an interesting first-look teaser of the film and captioned it, “Kanoon ya khoon ka rishta, kiske haath mein hai iss khel ka ikka?”
