The talks centered on the India-Nepal development partnership and people-to-people ties, which Jaishankar described as vital to advancing growth and prosperity in both nations.

Lamichhane arrived in New Delhi on Monday on a five-day visit for discussions with senior BJP leaders.
Leading a three-member delegation, Lamichhane is visiting India at the invitation of the BJP for party-to-party talks at a crucial juncture in bilateral relations.
The visit is being viewed as one of the most significant political engagements between Nepal’s ruling establishment and New Delhi since Prime Minister Balendra ‘Balen’ Shah assumed office.
The visit also comes amid political turbulence in Nepal, where street protests have erupted in Kathmandu and opposition parties have disrupted parliamentary proceedings over Shah’s recent remark that Nepal had “also encroached on India’s land”.
Demonstrators gathered near Parliament and at key locations across Kathmandu, demanding that the Prime Minister withdraw the statement and issue an apology.
Opposition lawmakers argued that the remark undermined Nepal’s territorial claims over Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura, areas that remain at the centre of a long-standing border dispute with India.
