What is the story about?
Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh announced Don 3 with a lot of fanfare and excitement two years back. But the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar has changed everything it seems. If a report by Pinkvilla is to be believed, the actor walked out of the third film in the franchise. This is a story that has gone viral.
And a report by Filmfare which is yet to be confirmed, Hrithik Roshan, who had a cameo in part two, is likely to turn the international crime lord. But no confirmation about the same has been made yet by his team or the makers. The real Don still remains a question mark.
Why did Ranveer Singh quit Don 3?
“Ranveer Singh hasn’t walked out of Don 3 like the rumour mills claim. It’s actually an entirely different story,” the source said. “To start with, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar offered him Don 3 after he had delivered three colossal flops. They stood by him even after Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved Baiju Bawra because he was considered not saleable at the time.”
"Don 3 is the hottest franchise, and Ranveer was stepping into the legendary shoes of not just Shah Rukh Khan, but also Amitabh Bachchan. It is a dream role for any actor," the source said.

Explaining why he chose Ranveer as Don, Farhan said, “He is mischievous, just full of energy, which is what this needs and he is… I feel when it comes to this aspect of his performance, it’s still untapped. Like I don’t think he has done a role like this.”
