What is the story about?
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has said that participation of India and other non-member countries at the G7 summit reflects the changing global balance of power, arguing that the grouping no longer dominates world affairs as it once did.
Speaking during an interaction at Trinity College Dublin as part of his six-day visit to Europe, Carney said the inclusion of countries such as India highlights the G7’s acknowledgement that tackling major global challenges requires wider international cooperation and perspectives beyond its traditional members.
