After being bestowed the honour, Alia Bhatt said, “The Golden Globes are an iconic part of the global awards universe, and I am delighted to be part of it and look forward to continuing my career in telling more stories of powerful and deserving women.”
The recognition coincided with a special tribute to Alia’s career. The festival presented a curated showcase tracing her journey- from early roles to critically acclaimed performances in films like 'Highway', 'Dear Zindagi', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' and 'Brahmastra', illustrating her evolution as one of India’s most versatile and bankable talents. International audiences responded with admiration for her emotional range.
Spotlight on style
But it wasn’t just her cinematic journey on display. Alia’s red-carpet presence turned heads as well. She stepped out in a sleek, flowing black gown, complemented by a subtle, luminous makeup look, minimalist jewelry, and dark sunglasses that added a dash of mystery. The ensemble evoked a vintage-Hollywood vibe, prompting comparisons with classic elegance icons.
Sneak peek into 'Alpha'
Alia used the platform to offer an exclusive early peek into her next major film, 'Alpha', which is slated for a 2026 release. Produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) and directed by Shiv Rawail, this venture is the first female-led instalment in the studio’s celebrated “YRF Spy Universe.”
Alia acknowledged the risks of leading a major action franchise traditionally headlined by men. She described the project as “a risk”, yet emphasised the ambition and excitement behind breaking new ground. Alongside co-stars Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol, she is set to usher in a new era of women-driven action cinema in Bollywood.
