What is the story about?
When Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar announced they were coming together for the third part of the Don series, the announcement was received with mixed reactions. The historic success of
Dhurandhar changed everything for the actor and he became the most popular star of the industry. And then the news of his exit from the franchise surfaced and splashed everywhere.
The matter is currently being intervened by FWICE and their ban on the Dhurandhar star has created new sets of debates. And amid the chaos that refuses to settle down, Salman Khan has stepped in to assuage the controversy as per a report by Bollywood Hungama.
What Salman Khan did
A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Salman Khan is fond of Ranveer Singh, and is equally fond of the Akhtars too. He picked up the call on both the stakeholders, and has asked them to resolve their issues without hurting the future of their respective projects. He explained to Farhan about creative differences being a common thing in the industry for decades, and he also had a long chat with Ranveer, understanding his stance. He is playing the cupid to ensure that no one feels sabotaged."
"Don 3", which was to reboot the successful franchise for a third time with a new face, was yet to begin shooting. The producers claim that more than Rs 45 crore had already been spent in the pre-production phase.
What FWICE’s Ashoke Pandit said
Post the Dhurandhar actor's exit, FWICE’s Ashoke Pandit issued a statement after Farhan Akhtar reached the doors of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees. Speaking to Bombay Times, he was quoted saying, “It’s a very serious matter, and this trend is very wrong. You can’t withdraw from a project 10 days before the shoot starts.
