As per reports the incident occurred at around 12:30 PM local time, leaving panic among the people who were present on the beach.

Rescue teams deployed Jet Skis, divers, and sonar equipment to search the wreckage. The Brazilian Air Force has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
During the search operation, Sonar equipment was also being used to aid in the search.

The Brazilian air force said that it opened an investigation into the cause of the crash. The aircraft was a Cessna 170A owned by an advertising company.
