Billionaire and Space X CEO Elon Musk has dismissed the rumours about the launch of Starlink phone. According to the recent reports by new agency Reuters, SpaceX was releasing a phone to complement its fast-growing satellite internet business.
An X user named Mark Kretschmann shared on X that SpaceX is reportedly planning to develop a Starlink phone in order to expand its satellite business ahead of the massive IPO. Replying to his post Musk denied any such development and wrote, “We are not developing a phone”.
Musk has repeatedly expressed reluctance in the launch of Starlink phones, whereas at a recent gathering in Pennsylvania he said, “The idea of making a phone makes me want to die,” calling it a massive undertaking.
Starlink’s massive surge has become one of SpaceX’s most important revenue drivers, attracting millions of subscribers worldwide. The service offers wide-speed internet in deserted and remote areas, expanding internet facility and access to sufficient bandwidth.
