Filmmaker Aanand L Rai's Tere Ishk Mein is a volatile romantic saga that takes the same root and route that his 2013 Raanjhanaa did. It shows a ticking time bomb of a central character who would never take no for a response. It shows a female protagonist who uses his volatility as a project and hopes to assuage his violence.

These people are played by Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. There's a scene in the film where the actress says she is ready to submit her 2200-page thesis that has drawn immense flak ever since it has streamed on Netflix.

The lawsuit by Eros

Amid the success of the film, Eros International has issued a lawsuit against the filmmaker of Rs 84 crore as he described the film as a spiritual sequel to his 2013 hit 

Raanjhanaa.

Reacting to the same, Rai was quoted saying in a statement given to NDTV, “These are part of life. When you step into business, such things keep happening. I don’t even know why, how, or from where this has come. But I think it is a legal matter, so let the legal people handle it. There is a lawyer on their side, and a lawyer from here will respond too.”
