What is the story about?
Defying every prediction and conventional box office trend, Dhurandhar wrapped its fourth weekend on yet another emphatic high, delivering a remarkable ₹24.30 crore nett (India) on Sunday, Day 24.
Standing strong beyond the ₹730+ crore nett mark in India, establishing itself as the highest nett-earning film of all time, the film’s dominance extended overseas as well, clocking a formidable ₹238 crore International Gross, underlining a global performance that has matched its historic India run.
Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri released on the eve of Christmas but was impacted by Dhurandhar at the box-office. However, the actor has re-shared a story on Instagram posted by screenplay writer Saurabh Bharat which seems like an aim at the Aditya Dhar blockbuster.
The caption reads- "It's so heartwarming to see that amidst the madness of hypermasculinity and testosterone-boasting action films, someone is making a breezing progressive film."
Ranveer Singh-Akshaye Khanna’s spy drama Dhurandhar which now has all the chances to become the most successful Hindi film of all time, was banned in the Gulf for its volatile content and even in Pakistan. But that hasn’t deterred its staggering demand one bit.
As per reports, the film has been downloaded two million times in Pakistan. “Indian movie
Dhurandhar is yet another example of negative propaganda by the Indian film industry against Pakistan, especially targeting Lyari. Lyari is not violence - it is culture, peace, talent, and resilience. Next month, Mera Lyari will release, showing the true face of Lyari: peace, prosperity, and pride. #MeraLyari,” Sindh’s Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon said on X.
The blockbuster box-office
Dhurandhar delivered a blockbuster Christmas Day performance with ₹28.60 crore nett (India) on Day 21 (Thursday), taking its India nett total to ₹668.80 crore, while also surpassing the monumental ₹1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office within just three weeks of release.
