As per a report by ABP, post his exit and the controversy that followed, Singh had an offer for Excel Entertainment. “ Ranveer offered to do another film , selected mutually by Farhan and Ranveer. Ranveer also offered to do a film with Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, with whom he has done Gully Boy in the past.”
The source added, “The offer was made to both Farhan and his production partner Ritesh Sidhwani but was turned down immediately.”

Farhan Akhtar and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani had filed a complaint against Singh before the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), which then referred the matter to FWICE for further intervention.
