The dispute stems from the production of the 2024 film It Ends With Us, where Lively accused Baldoni, her co-star and director, of sexual harassment, retaliation, and fostering a hostile work environment. However, in April 2026, a US federal judge dismissed the majority of her claims, including all allegations of sexual harassment, primarily on legal grounds such as her status as an independent contractor.
