What is the story about?
Adah Sharma once again proves why she is regarded as one of the most fearless and versatile actors in the industry. Recently, the actress shared a glimpse into her transformation process, revealing that getting her prosthetic makeup done took nearly two hours—a painstaking yet powerful ritual she willingly embraces for her craft. Fans were quick to comment how claustrophobic they felt just watching the video.
Adah says," I'm excited I'm getting a chance to be different people and filmmakers are trusting me with such varied stuff. I feel very very fortunate "
Prosthetic makeup is not just about changing appearances; it demands immense patience, physical endurance, and mental focus. Sitting still for hours while layers are carefully applied is no easy task. Yet for Adah, this hard work is an essential part of storytelling. It allows her to shed her own identity and truly live the role, not just play it.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced two films with Adah Sharma in 2023 and 2024- ‘The Kerala Story’ and ‘Bastar’, both based on real-life events that shook the nation.
“ The Kerala Story_ ” talks about a group of women from Kerala who are forced into converting to Islam and joining the Islamic State. Based on a true story, the film is premised on the Hindutva conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and claims that thousands of Hindu women from Kerala have been converted to Islam and recruited into the Islamic State.
On the other hand, Vipul Amrutlal Shah brought yet another concerning subject to society about the Naxals with “
_Bastar: The Naxal Story_ ”. The film is based on the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
The human may feel the violence and attack of the animal are dangerous, but in reality, the area of Bastar is more cruel and dangerous. The makers have presented a scene-to-scene depiction of each and every incident that happened in the Bastar region and have also brought the hard-hitting, brutal story of the Naxalites on-screen.
