Indian expatriates in Qatar now have a new and faster way to send money home, with Qatar Post launching a UPI-powered remittance service that enables direct transfers to eligible bank accounts in India.
The service, called PosTransfer, was launched on August 15 by Qatar Post in collaboration with India Post, the Universal Postal Union (UPU), and NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL).
The initiative aims to simplify Qatar–India remittances, especially for the large Indian community in Qatar, many of whom regularly send money to support families back home.
