What is the story about?
The David Beckham family drama continues to make headlines on social media and people have different opinions as allegations pour in within the family. Brooklyn recently spoke about her parents and how the rift began and widened.
David Beckham has also made his first comment since his son Brooklyn Beckham’s candid Instagram posts about a family dispute, choosing a broader reflection on social media and parenting rather than directly addressing the feud.
British broadcaster Piers Morgan's tweet
The broadcaster, who recently and sarcastically blamed Donald Trump for his accident, has now shared his opinion on the Beckham drama too.
Morgan tweeted- "I didn’t think anything could be more excruciatingly embarrassing and eye-poppingly painful than fracturing a femur in a restaurant so badly I needed a new hip… but the Beckham family saga has managed it! What a repellent bunch of fake, narcissistic PR-obsessed twerps."
What David Beckham said
Beckham, 50, spoke on CNBC’s financial programme Squawk Box on 20 January 2026, a day after Brooklyn shared lengthy posts accusing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of negatively impacting his personal life and marriage to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham.
What Brooklyn Beckham has alleged
According to Brooklyn’s account, the ceremony had a carefully planned first dance with his wife, but instead of the scheduled moment, another sequence unfolded when Marc Anthony, a longtime family friend, was invited on stage.
Brooklyn wrote, “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
He also said that because of the way that moment played out, he and Nicola later chose to renew their vows in August 2025 to create new memories they associate with joy rather than “anxiety and embarrassment.”
