Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has expressed admiration for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, revealing that he wishes he had been a part of Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster franchise. Speaking about the film’s impact, Rawal described it as more than just a movie.
“Mujhe Hona Chahiye Tha Ismein”
Speaking to PTI, he said, "Dekhi, Dhurandhar 1 and 2 dekhi, part 1 do baar dekhi, dusri ek baar dekhi, vapas dekhne jaana hai. Mujhe hona chahiye tha ismein (I have watched both parts, watched part 1 twice and part 2 once, and I want to watch it again. I should have been a part of the film)."
Rawal candidly admitted that watching the film made him feel like he missed out on something special. He added, "I liked Dhurandhar a lot; it’s not just a film but a saga. For the first time, I felt I should have been part of it. Zindagi main pehli baar mujhe laga main hota ismein toh maza aata (For the first time in my life, I felt that it would have been fun if I had been in it)."
Comparing Roles with R Madhavan
Interestingly, Rawal had earlier played a character inspired by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in Uri: The Surgical Strike. In Dhurandhar, a similar character is portrayed by R. Madhavan, something Rawal found intriguing, noting how two actors approached comparable roles differently.
Led by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has become one of the biggest cinematic successes in recent times, crossing massive global milestones and sparking conversations across the industry.
Rawal’s praise adds to a growing list of celebrities acknowledging the film’s scale, storytelling and impact.
