Suhana Khan is steadily defining her own path in Bollywood, and in a recent interview, she revealed how her parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, influence her choices, both personal and professional. Suhana reflected on guidance, growth and the resilience that comes from early life experiences.
Parents have the last say for Suhana
Suhana said that her parents “influence” her decision-making, especially when it comes to weighing opportunities and assessing what feels right for her as an individual and an artist. As she explained:
“It’s less like them telling me what to do and more like them helping me think through things in a way I wouldn’t have.” Harper’s Bazaar quoted her as saying that both Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan play a role in how she analyses situations, adding emotional clarity and perspective.
She credited both parents with shaping her approach to big life decisions, suggesting that it isn’t about direction but reflection and thoughtfulness. Suhana described that while they offer guidance, she ultimately learns to form her own viewpoints with their support.
Suhana cried after being rejected from a school play
Suhana has also spoken candidly about how early setbacks helped shape her resilience. She recalled a formative experience from school when she was rejected from a school play, an episode that left her emotional at the time.
“I cried alone in my room,” she said, recalling the disappointment of not being selected. She described how that early rejection taught her a valuable lesson about facing hurt, processing it privately and using that emotional moment to grow stronger.
Suhana made her debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. She played Veronica in the film, which was released on Netflix. She is now preparing for her bigscreen debut alongside her father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in King, which is scheduled for release later this year.
