Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited epic The Odyssey has found itself back in the spotlight after a new TV teaser aired during the broadcast of the NFL AFC Championship match. The short clip offered audiences their first look at rapper and songwriter Travis Scott in the film, instantly setting social media abuzz.
The teaser shows Scott standing atop a table as he commands the attention of a group of soldiers, suggesting a moment of authority or provocation within the Greek epic. The brief footage also features Tom Holland as Telemachus and Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, offering flashes of the film’s expansive ensemble.

The teaser quickly went viral online, with fans reacting enthusiastically to Scott’s appearance in the project. While this marks his acting debut in a Nolan film, it is not the first time the filmmaker and the artist have collaborated.
Travis Scott previously worked with Nolan on Tenet in 2020, recording the track The Plan for the film’s soundtrack. Speaking about that collaboration, Nolan had said, “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle. His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Goransson and I were building were immediate, insightful and profound,” as quoted by Variety.
The new teaser arrives weeks after the first full trailer of The Odyssey was unveiled in December 2025. The film follows the Greek hero Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, as he undertakes a perilous journey back home after the Trojan War. The trailer depicts Odysseus and his army being shipwrecked, navigating hostile landscapes, sailing treacherous seas and venturing into dark caves, including one where a massive, shadowy creature looms.

The footage also revisits the famed Trojan Horse sequence, which had earlier been teased in a six-minute preview shown before IMAX 70mm screenings of Sinners and One Battle After Another. Brief shots introduce Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, and Holland as their son Telemachus, reinforcing the film’s emotional core alongside its scale.
The Odyssey boasts a sprawling cast that includes Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal and John Leguizamo, among others. Nolan has written and directed the film, producing it alongside Emma Thomas.
With its mythological backdrop, star-studded cast and now the addition of Travis Scott, The Odyssey continues to position itself as one of the most talked-about cinematic events on Nolan’s slate. The film is slated to release on July 17, 2026.
