Dividend By Railway Company: A famous railway company has announced the record date for the payment of final dividend to its shareholders. The railway company had
declared dividend while announcing its Q4 results FY2025.
In a latest exchange filing, the railway company has said that the board has fixed the dividend record date for payment of final dividend for FY2025.
Earlier in June, the board of railway company had declared a final dividend of 8.5 per cent per share of Rs 10 face value. This translates into a payout of Re 0.85 per share.
"Recommendation of Final Dividend at the rate of 8.5% of paid-up share capital (Re 0.85 per share) for the financial year 2024-25," the railway company had said in a filing then.
The railway company has now announced the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders participation to whom the dividend will be paid.
The name of the famous railway company under discussion is RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. RailTel is a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways.
RailTel Dividend 2025 Record Date
As per a filing dated July 25, RailTel has fixed August 13, 2025 as the record date for final dividend. "The company has fixed Wednesday, 13th August, 2025 as Record Date for the purpose of determining the eligibility of Members entitled to receive the Final Dividend..."
RailTel said that the final dividend, if approved at the AGM, will be paid within 30 days from the date of its declaration at the AGM. RailTel AGM will be held on August 20.
RailTel Dividend History
According to BSE website, RailTel had paid an interim dividend of Re 1 in April this year. In 2024, RailTel had paid dividend on two occasions to its shareholders -- Re 1.85 in August and Re 1 in November.
In 2023, 2022 and 2021, the railway company had paid a dividend of Rs 3.55, Rs 2.40 and Rs 2.30. respectively, on each stock of Rs 10 face value.
RailTel shares on Friday (Aug 1) closed 3.68 per cent lower at Rs 353.70 on BSE.
