The Ministry of Railways has unveiled a significant new service: the Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express. This train is specifically introduced to cater
to passengers from lower and lower-middle income groups, offering an economical travel option. Its introduction is poised to greatly enhance travel connectivity between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, facilitating easier movement for a large segment of the population. This initiative underscores a commitment to providing accessible and efficient rail transportation across key regions of India, making long-distance travel more feasible for many.
Train Numbers and Route Details
For seamless identification and travel planning, the Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express operates under two distinct train numbers. The service originating from Banaras and heading towards Hadapsar (Pune) is designated as train number 22589. Conversely, the return journey from Hadapsar back to Banaras will be known as train number 22590. Both directions of this service will traverse a common route that includes a crucial stop at the Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi railway station, an important junction connecting Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, further integrating the journey across these states.
Extensive Stoppage Network
The Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express boasts an impressive list of 18 commercial stoppages, ensuring accessibility across numerous towns and cities along its route. This extensive network includes: Gyanpur Road, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Orai, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Bina, Rani Kamlapati, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Koparagaon, Ahilyanagar, and Daund Chord Line. This comprehensive list of stops makes the train a convenient option for passengers in a wide geographical spread, connecting various economic and cultural hubs between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Daily Service and Coach Configuration
Passengers can rely on the Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express for their travel needs as it operates on a daily frequency, ensuring consistent availability. The train is equipped with a total of 22 coaches, offering a mix of Sleeper class, General Second Class, and other essential coach types to accommodate diverse passenger requirements. To maintain this daily service, a fleet of four Amrit Bharat rakes will be deployed for operations between Banaras and Hadapsar, ensuring smooth running and upkeep of the services.
Travel Timings Unveiled
The daily schedule for the Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express is meticulously planned for passenger convenience. Train number 22589 will commence its journey from Banaras at 18:15 hrs, arriving at Hadapsar (Pune) at 00:10 hrs. On its return leg, train number 22590 will depart from Hadapsar at 07:50 hrs, reaching Banaras by 14:30 hrs on the following day. Key scheduled departures and arrivals include Banaras at 18:15, Prayagraj at 20:30/20:35, Bina at 06:05/06:07, Khandwa at 13:30/13:32, and Hadapsar at 00:10 for the down journey, and vice-versa for the up journey.
