Innovation Gateway Launched
In a significant stride towards technological advancement, Indian Railways has introduced the 'RailTech Portal'. This digital platform is designed to be
a central hub, actively encouraging participation from a wide array of stakeholders, including budding startups, established industries, academic institutions, and individual innovators. The primary objective is to cultivate and accelerate innovation across the country's vast railway network. The portal facilitates a simplified, single-stage submission process for proposals from innovators. Furthermore, it champions the growth of new ideas by more than tripling the scale-up grant available and doubling the maximum grant for developing prototypes and conducting trials. This user-friendly interface is expected to attract a wealth of novel solutions, ultimately contributing to a more advanced and efficient railway system for India.
Claims Tribunal Goes Digital
Parallel to its innovation drive, Indian Railways has also embraced digitalization for its Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT). This move is set to revolutionize the processing of court cases related to railway claims. By connecting all 23 RCT benches across India digitally, the Ministry of Railways aims to significantly enhance efficiency, broaden accessibility, and ensure greater transparency in its operations. Litigants will now find it considerably easier to file cases online from any location, at any time, guaranteeing round-the-clock access to the tribunal's services. This digital transformation is a crucial step in modernizing judicial processes within the railway sector, making it more convenient and accessible for all involved.
