To ensure a hassle-free experience, it is strongly recommended that all Indian nationals secure an appropriate Vietnam visa before commencing their journey, even if their itinerary is solely focused on Phu Quoc. Travelling without a mainland-valid visa, even if permitted for island entry, could still present immigration challenges if a need arises to visit the mainland.
Passport Loss Protocol

The Embassy will then initiate the process of issuing an Emergency Certificate or a Travel Document, enabling your return to India. However, it is important to note that the Vietnamese authorities require approximately 3 to 5 working days, and sometimes longer, to process an Exit Permit after the issuance of the emergency travel document. During this period, Indian citizens will be required to remain in Vietnam.
