Political Outcry and Safety Concerns
The brutal murder of Lucky Oberoi has ignited a fierce political debate, with opposition leaders sharply criticizing the current state government's handling of law and order. Partap Singh Bajwa, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, took to the social media platform X to express his dismay. He unequivocally stated that law and order has completely collapsed under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's administration, highlighting that even ruling party members are not safe. Bajwa further elaborated that Punjab is currently plagued by fear, gang violence, and administrative paralysis, demanding accountability from the Chief Minister for this severe breakdown. Echoing similar sentiments, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla also condemned the incident, reiterating the complete collapse of law and order and labeling the AAP as a 'Paap' (sin) for Punjab.
