Exterior Design Evolution
The latest electric sedan arrives with a fresh design philosophy, embracing a clean and modern aesthetic. Its front fascia is characterized by sleek lighting
elements and distinctive daytime running lights. A prominent air dam integrates seamlessly into the bumper, flanked by vertical gloss-black air intakes, contributing to a sporty and dynamic front-end appearance. Broad front fenders further enhance its athletic stance, giving it a commanding presence on the road. The overall silhouette adheres to a more conventional three-box sedan profile, deviating from the coupe-like forms often seen in the electric vehicle segment, though BMW describes it as a "2.5-box" design. Smooth, uncluttered surfaces dominate the side profile, complemented by flush door handles and stylish alloy wheels, all contributing to an elegant and aerodynamic form. The rear design is sharp and minimalist, featuring slim, disconnected tail-lamps and subtle black detailing at the lower end, ensuring a cohesive and contemporary look from every angle. Dimensions measure 4,760mm in length, 1,865mm in width, with a substantial wheelbase of 2,897mm.
Futuristic Interior Cabin
Step inside the cabin of this upcoming electric sedan and be greeted by a vision of futuristic minimalism. Many interior elements echo the design language found in other advanced electric models, including a distinctive steering wheel and a commanding 17.9-inch infotainment display. A striking Panoramic Vision display stretches across the dashboard, ingeniously serving as both a central information hub and a dedicated driver's display. Physical controls have been intentionally minimized, creating a clean and intuitive user experience. The center console houses essential function controls alongside a rotary dial for selecting driving modes. Among its impressive features are powered front seats, customizable ambient lighting, wireless charging capability, Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), an advanced AI assistant, and an optional 3D head-up display, all designed to enhance comfort, convenience, and safety.
Powertrain and Charging Prowess
Built upon the advanced 800V platform, this electric sedan is set to launch with a potent dual-motor '50 xDrive' configuration. This setup delivers an impressive 469 horsepower and a substantial 645 Nm of torque, promising exhilarating acceleration and responsive performance. While the exact battery capacity has yet to be officially disclosed, it is anticipated to feature a 108.7 kWh pack, similar to other models within the brand's electric lineup. This substantial battery underpins its remarkable WLTP-certified range of up to 900 km on a single charge. Complementing its extensive range is its extraordinary charging capability. The vehicle supports ultra-fast 400 kW DC charging, enabling it to replenish up to 400 km of range in a mere 10 minutes, a game-changer for long-distance travel. For everyday charging needs, it also supports 22 kW AC charging.
Production and Market Entry
The manufacturing process for this innovative electric sedan is slated to commence at the brand's Munich facility in August 2026. Following the start of production, global deliveries are expected to commence later in the same year. While specific market launch dates for all regions are still being finalized, initial indications suggest that related electric models might reach certain markets, such as India, by early 2027. The final decision regarding the introduction of this particular sedan model to all global markets, including potential launches in countries like India, is subject to further announcements and market assessments. Enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await further details regarding its availability and specific market rollouts.
