Noida International Airport is making waves with its innovative single-terminal design, seamlessly integrating both arrival and departure operations. This
eliminates the need for passengers to navigate between separate buildings, creating a unified and intuitive travel environment. The terminal is cleverly divided into two distinct levels to optimize passenger flow and operational efficiency. The upper level is dedicated to departures, managing the initial stages of a passenger's journey, while the lower level exclusively handles arrivals, ensuring a smooth transition for those landing. This clear separation of functions prevents confusion and enhances the overall passenger experience. Connecting these two key areas is a shared concourse, acting as a central hub. Unlike traditional airports, there isn't a direct ramp to the departure level; instead, passengers elegantly ascend using escalators and lifts strategically placed within the arrival concourse. Two escalators and two lifts, positioned on each side, provide easy access, ensuring that moving between levels is a hassle-free affair for everyone, regardless of luggage or mobility needs.
Efficient Entry & Check-in
The departure section of Noida International Airport is engineered for rapid passenger ingress, featuring a total of eight entry gates. Each of these gates is equipped with eight access points, significantly increasing the throughput and minimizing waiting times at the entrance. This thoughtful design allows a large number of passengers to enter simultaneously, streamlining the initial boarding process. Embracing modern technology, all entry gates are fully integrated with the Digi Yatra app, enabling contactless and swift entry for passengers. To maintain order and efficiency, a separate, dedicated gate is provided exclusively for airport staff and crew members. Inside the terminal, the airline check-in counters are strategically positioned at the front, allowing passengers to easily complete their baggage check-in and collect boarding passes. For those who prefer to expedite this process, a self-bag drop facility is readily available. This allows passengers who have already completed their check-in online to independently tag and deposit their luggage, further reducing their dwell time within the terminal.
Speedy Security Screening
The airport operator has meticulously outlined a passenger processing model that prioritizes speed and efficiency, aiming for a remarkable 10-minute check-in and baggage drop timeline. This ambitious goal is achievable through the strategic deployment of self-service kiosks, advanced digital processing systems, and a terminal layout specifically designed to minimize congestion and passenger dwell time. Security screening is paramount, and Noida International Airport boasts multiple checkpoints to ensure swift passage. The facility is equipped with a total of 13 Door Frame Metal Detectors, with 12 designated for passenger screening and one reserved for airport staff and crew. To further enhance the efficiency of baggage inspection, six Automatic Tray Retrieval Systems are installed, which will significantly streamline the management and circulation of trays during the security checks, ensuring a faster and more organized process for everyone involved.
Boarding & Arrival Flow
Following a smooth security screening, passengers are directed through a clearly defined corridor situated on the left side of the security area. This pathway guides travelers towards the boarding section of the airport. At the conclusion of this corridor, two escalators descend, leading passengers to the boarding level. The entire layout is meticulously organized to facilitate effortless movement. Adjacent to this section, on the left, passengers will find a dedicated food court area, offering a variety of dining options. The boarding gates themselves are positioned on the right side. The airport features a total of 10 boarding gates, complemented by 2 bus gates for passengers who will be transported to aircraft via bus. Passengers directed to bus gates will need to proceed one level further down, where similar infrastructure and amenities are available. The arrival section is equally operational and ready to welcome incoming passengers, completing the end-to-end passenger journey within this state-of-the-art facility.
Strategic Parking & Access
Passenger convenience begins even before entering the terminal at Noida International Airport, with a focus on strategic parking arrangements. A dedicated parking area has been thoughtfully situated just prior to the main terminal building, designed to accommodate up to 1,200 cars simultaneously. This prime location ensures that passengers arriving by private vehicles have immediate and easy access to the terminal, minimizing any lengthy walks. The parking zone is directly interconnected with the terminal, eliminating the need for inconvenient transfers. To further enhance movement within the airport, lifts and escalators have been installed at key points throughout the facility. These amenities are crucial for passengers who may be carrying heavy luggage or have mobility challenges, allowing them to navigate between different levels with absolute ease. The placement of these vertical transport systems has been carefully considered to prevent overcrowding and maintain a smooth flow of people.
