Expanded Holi Services
To manage the increased passenger volume during the Holi festival, Central Railway has introduced a comprehensive schedule of special train services originating
from Pune. These additional services are part of a larger network of 186 special trains. Specifically, from Pune, these trains will be dispatched to popular destinations such as Danapur, Gorakhpur, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ghazipur, and Nagpur. The operational period for these special services spans from February 21st, 2026, through March 10th, 2026. Passengers interested in utilizing these services can commence bookings from February 18th. Ticket reservations are accessible through traditional computerised reservation centres, the official IRCTC website, and the RailOne mobile application. For those preferring unreserved travel, booking facilities are available via the UTS system, maintaining standard charges.
Pune-Danapur Routes
Two distinct train services are designated for the Pune-Danapur route to accommodate holiday travelers. The first, Train No. 01449, operates daily, departing Pune at 3:30 PM from February 21st to March 8th, reaching Danapur on the third day at 2:45 AM. Its return service, Train No. 01450, departs Danapur daily at 5:00 AM from February 23rd to March 10th, arriving back in Pune by 6:15 PM the following day. This route includes stops at significant stations like Daund, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara. The second service, Train No. 01481, runs bi-weekly, departing Pune every Monday and Friday at 7:55 PM from February 23rd to March 6th, with an arrival at Danapur at 8:00 AM on the third day. The corresponding return, Train No. 01482, departs Danapur every Wednesday and Sunday at 10:00 AM from February 25th to March 8th, reaching Pune by 6:15 PM the next day. Both services are initially designated as Special Trains before transitioning to 'Holi Specials' during peak travel periods.
Pune to Gorakhpur
For travelers heading to Gorakhpur from Pune, a daily special train service, Train No. 01415, is scheduled. This train departs Pune every day at 6:50 AM, commencing its service on February 21st and concluding on March 8th, with arrivals in Gorakhpur at 4:00 PM the subsequent day. The return journey, managed by Train No. 01416, begins its daily departure from Gorakhpur at 5:30 PM from February 22nd to March 9th, reaching Pune at 3:15 AM on the third day. The extensive list of halts for this route includes Daund Chord Cabin, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, and Basti. Similar to other routes, these services will operate as general Special Trains from February 21st to March 1st, then transition to 'Holi Specials' from March 1st to March 9th.
Pune to Ghazipur & Hazrat Nizamuddin
Passengers bound for Ghazipur City from Pune have a bi-weekly option, Train No. 01431, departing every Tuesday and Friday at 6:40 AM from February 24th to March 6th, arriving at Ghazipur at 7:05 PM the next day. Its counterpart, Train No. 01432, departs Ghazipur City every Thursday and Sunday at 4:20 AM from February 26th to March 8th, arriving back in Pune by 4:20 PM on the following day. These trains will run as Special Trains from February 24th to March 1st and as Holi Specials from March 3rd to March 8th. For those traveling to Hazrat Nizamuddin, a weekly service, Train No. 01491, departs Pune every Friday on February 27th and March 6th at 5:30 PM, reaching Hazrat Nizamuddin at 8:00 PM the next day. The return service, Train No. 01492, leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin every Saturday on February 28th and March 7th at 9:25 PM, arriving in Pune by 11:55 PM the next day. Key halts for this route include Lonavala, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, and Mathura Junction. These services operate as Special Trains on February 27th–28th and as Holi Specials on March 6th–7th.
Pune to Nagpur (Two Services)
Central Railway is providing two weekly special train services from Pune to Nagpur to cater to the holiday rush. The first service, Train No. 01469, departs Pune every Tuesday at 3:50 PM on February 24th and March 3rd, reaching Nagpur at 6:30 AM the following day. Its return service, Train No. 01470, leaves Nagpur every Wednesday on February 25th and March 4th at 8:00 AM, arriving back in Pune by 11:30 PM on the same day. The second weekly service, Train No. 01457, departs Pune every Wednesday at 3:50 PM on February 25th and March 4th, arriving in Nagpur at 6:30 AM the subsequent morning. The return leg, Train No. 01458, departs Nagpur every Thursday on February 26th and March 5th at 8:00 AM, reaching Pune by 11:30 PM the same day. Both sets of Nagpur services include major halts at Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopergaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha. These trains are designated as Special Trains initially, then as Holi Specials during peak travel times.
