Student Statistics by Stream
This year's Higher Secondary Certificate examinations saw a significant turnout, with a total of 15,32,487 students registering across Maharashtra. The distribution of these students across various academic streams highlights the diverse educational pathways pursued. The science stream attracted the largest cohort, with 7,99,773 students. Following closely, the arts stream comprised 3,80,692 students, while the commerce stream accounted for 3,20,152 participants. Beyond these major streams, a notable number of students also engaged in specialized education. The vocational stream had 27,378 students, and an additional 4,492 students were enrolled through Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), demonstrating the board's commitment to catering to a wide spectrum of educational interests and career aspirations.
Marksheet and Certificate Innovations
In a move towards enhanced security and convenience, the Maharashtra board is introducing significant updates to its marksheets and certificates starting from this academic year. The traditional separate marksheets and certificates will be consolidated into a single, unified document. This new format will feature the student's photograph directly embedded on the combined document, a first for the state board. Furthermore, each consolidated certificate will be equipped with a unique QR code. This QR code is designed to enable instant verification of the document's authenticity through the state board’s official mobile application, streamlining the process for students and institutions alike and ensuring a more secure and verifiable academic record.
