Jammu and Kashmir's tourism landscape is set to blossom once again with the announcement of 14 key tourist destinations reopening to the public. This significant
decision, spearheaded by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, comes after a comprehensive security assessment and follows a period of temporary closure implemented as a precautionary measure. The reopening aims to bolster the region's already significant tourism appeal. These locations, previously shuttered in the wake of a tragic terror incident in Pahalgam on April 22 of the previous year, are now welcoming visitors with renewed assurances of safety and accessibility. Kashmir's Natural Wonders
Within the picturesque Kashmir division, eleven captivating tourist spots are now readily accessible. Budgam district's Yousmarg and Doodhpathri, known for their serene meadows and natural beauty, are among the reopened sites. Kokernag's Dandipora Park, Shopian's Peer Ki Gali and Dubjan, along with Padpawan, will once again invite exploration. Srinagar's iconic Tulip Garden, a riot of colours in spring, and Astanpora are also back on the tourist map. Ganderbal's Hung Park and the expansive Wullar/Watlab area in Baramulla, famous for its vast freshwater lake, complete the list of reopened attractions in the valley. These locations offer a diverse range of experiences, from tranquil valleys to scenic lakes, promising something for every traveler.

The Jammu division also benefits from this revitalizing announcement, with three important tourist spots now open for visitors. Devi Pindi in Reasi, Mahu Mangat in Ramban, and Mughal Maidan in Kishtwar are set to welcome tourists.
