The much-anticipated Ayodhya-Mumbai Amrit Bharat Express is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage on April 28th. This special service, designated as
train number 02212 for its inaugural run, will travel via the significant route passing through Jabalpur. The train's launch is a significant step towards bolstering travel infrastructure and passenger convenience, particularly for those wishing to visit religious and commercial hubs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officiate the flagging-off ceremony, marking a notable occasion for railway services in the region. This new express service is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, thereby facilitating easier movement for a large number of passengers and contributing to regional economic activity.
En Route Stoppages
During its inaugural journey on April 28th, the Ayodhya-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Amrit Bharat Express (02212) will make stops at a total of 12 key stations. Passengers can board or alight at Sultanpur, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Manikpur, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Nashik Road, Kalyan, and Thane. This extensive list of intermediate stops ensures that the train serves a wide geographical area, making it accessible to numerous communities along its path. The inclusion of these stations reflects a strategic approach to maximizing passenger reach and facilitating regional travel and commerce. Following its inaugural run, commercial operations will commence, though the exact date is yet to be announced by the railway authorities.
Train Composition & Schedule
The Ayodhya Cantt-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Amrit Bharat Express boasts a robust composition designed for passenger comfort and efficiency. It will feature a total of 22 coaches, comprising 8 Sleeper Class coaches for overnight journeys, 11 General Class coaches to accommodate a larger number of travelers, 2 Second Sitting Luggage (SLR) coaches for luggage and accompanying staff, and 1 dedicated pantry car for onboard catering services. For its inaugural trip on April 28th, the train is set to depart from Ayodhya Dham at 16:45 hrs and is expected to reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai at 21:05 hrs the following day. This carefully planned schedule and coach configuration aim to provide a comfortable and convenient travel experience for all passengers.
