To accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger volume for the Dol Yatra festival, Eastern Railway has scheduled special train operations. Specifically,
between Howrah and Malda Town, two train services have been put in place. Train number 03031 will depart from Howrah late at night at 11:55 PM on March 23 and March 30, arriving in Malda Town early the next morning at 07:00 AM. The return service, train number 03032, will depart from Malda Town at 09:00 PM on March 24 and March 31, reaching Howrah by 04:30 AM the following day. These services are designed to provide essential connectivity for those traveling between these important locations during the festive period, ensuring ample opportunity for travel on specific dates.
Sealdah-Malda Connections
Further enhancing travel options for the Dol Yatra celebrations, Eastern Railway is also operating special trains between Sealdah and Malda Town. These services are strategically timed to facilitate journeys to and from Malda. Train number 03033 will commence its journey from Sealdah at 11:50 PM on March 23 and March 30, arriving at Malda Town by 06:45 AM on the subsequent day. Conversely, the service from Malda Town to Sealdah, designated as train number 03034, is scheduled to depart Malda Town at 09:00 PM on March 24 and March 31, with its arrival at Sealdah slated for 04:30 AM the following morning. These trains are crucial for enabling travel between these major hubs, offering convenient overnight journeys during the peak festive season.
