This decision comes after a reported threat was conveyed to Singh, involving a WhatsApp voice message that contained demands for a substantial ransom amounting to several crores of rupees. The Mumbai Police have acknowledged the development and are treating the threat with the utmost seriousness. This incident has sparked conversations about the safety of public figures in the city, particularly given its occurrence not long after a separate security concern at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's home. In response to the immediate threat, law enforcement has ramped up security protocols around the couple's property and is actively working to pinpoint the source of the menacing communication. Society's Concerns Raised
The heightened security at Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's home has also brought to light concerns from the managing committee of their housing society. It has been reported that the committee formally communicated with the Dadar Police Station, detailing the presence of six armed security personnel outside the couple's dwelling, which was reportedly established without the society's prior authorization. Furthermore, a uniformed police officer has been stationed at the premises. The society's letter expressed considerable apprehension regarding the deployment of armed guards in shared areas like the lobby, gymnasium, and children's play zone. Members voiced fears that such a presence could potentially compromise the safety and comfort of other residents within the complex. In an effort to clarify the situation, the society has requested the police to verify the legitimacy of this deployment and confirm whether official permission was indeed granted for armed individuals to operate within the residential complex.
