Nashik’s Weather Outlook
Nashik district is under a yellow alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the weekend, specifically Saturday and Sunday. The forecast
indicates light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. In addition to the precipitation, residents can anticipate gusty winds with speeds reaching 30-40 km/h in certain isolated areas. This weather pattern marks a change from recent observations; the city has noted a rising minimum temperature in recent days, shifting from 18.4°C on Tuesday to 22.9°C on Friday.
District-Specific Alerts
Alongside Nashik, several other districts are also under weather alerts. Ahilyanagar district is experiencing a yellow alert for three consecutive days, from Saturday to Monday, with light rainfall anticipated to stretch into Tuesday. Similarly, the districts of Dhule and Nandurbar are included in the yellow alert, with forecasts of rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning, alongside gusty winds that could reach 30-40 km/h in isolated spots. Light rainfall is also expected to continue in these regions on Monday and Tuesday. Jalgaon district is under a yellow alert for Saturday alone, with light rainfall predicted to persist from Sunday through Tuesday, according to the IMD.
Temperature Fluctuations Noted
Recent days have seen temperature fluctuations within the Nashik region. The city of Nashik has recorded a rise in minimum temperatures over the last four days, with the temperature increasing from 18.4°C on Tuesday to 22.9°C on Friday. Simultaneously, there has been a slight decrease in maximum temperatures, dropping by 0.7°C over two days, from 32.4°C on Thursday to 31.7°C on Friday. In Niphad, a key grape-growing area within Nashik district, a similar trend of rising minimum temperatures has been observed over the past three days. The minimum temperature in Niphad climbed by 4.7°C, moving from 18.3°C on Wednesday to 23°C on Friday. The maximum temperature in Niphad was reported at 31.8°C on Friday.
Jalgaon’s Temperature Readings
Jalgaon city also noted its temperature readings on Friday, with a minimum temperature of 21.6°C, slightly up from 21.3°C the previous day. The maximum temperature in Jalgaon city reached 34.5°C on Friday, in contrast to 34°C on Thursday. In Malegaon city, the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.6°C on Friday, up from 21.8°C on Thursday. The maximum temperature in Malegaon city was recorded at 31.2°C on Friday.
