Event Highlights
NSFDW 2025, held over three days at GAC Motors in Victoria Island, proved to be a resounding success. Sixteen student designers, all showcasing their diverse
talents, captivated the audience with collections. The collections ranged from heritage couture to contemporary womenswear and innovative streetwear. The event acted as a bridge between Nigerian student designers and the global fashion industry, with alumni showing at global fashion weeks.
Creative Award Winners
The prestigious event recognized outstanding talent. Estazwere was crowned the Most Creative Designer. Konvetti was awarded the Viewers’ Choice. Both designers received ₦1 million and were given the opportunity to present their collections at New York Fashion Week and Dallas Fashion Week in 2026. The Most Creative Designer award was adjudicated by Josh Amor, Kola Kuddus and Rhoda Ebun.
Empowering Young Designers
Beyond the runway shows, NSFDW 2025 prioritized the professional development of young designers. A series of workshops were offered. These workshops, led by industry experts, covered essential topics. The topics included sustainability, fashion law, finance, and brand development. This focus aligns with the platform’s mission to equip young designers with the crucial business skills needed for long-term success. Founder Abiola Orimolade described NSFDW as an ecosystem designed to nurture talent and provide global exposure.
