A few days ago, Selena opened up about the emotional rollercoaster she experienced after her wedding. Speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference, the 33-year-old singer-actress revealed that she was moved to tears following her marriage to Benny. She admitted that she often struggles to fully enjoy life’s joyful moments due to the fear that happiness may not last.
“I got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, ‘I’m gonna die the next day,’” she said. She then added, “This is how I work personally. Something great happens in my life, and I expect something bad to follow. Instead of just being present, I’m thinking, ‘Okay, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn’t happen?’”
