Indian Celebs Extend Wishes On Independence Day 2026
Taking to his Instagram stories, Toxic star Yash wrote, "Today, we celebrate those who fought for it, and recommit to building the future they imagined. Happy Independence Day!" On the other hand, Varun Dhawan wished everyone 80 years of Independence by saying, "Tod ke zanjeeren ghulami ki, aaj hum azaadi ki saansein lete hain, yaad karke un veeron ko, shaan se kehta is desh ka har insaan hai - mera Bharat mahaan hai!"
Moving on, Priyanka Chopra shared a photo of Indian national flag, stating that she is proud of how far the country has come and is hopeful about where the nation is headed. Actor Suniel Shetty also shared a photo of him holding the tricolour in his hand. While sharing the picture, Shetty penned, "Every time the Tiranga goes up, the heart somehow stands a little taller."
Quoting lines from Rabindranath Tagore's poem, Farhan penned, "Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake. Happy Independence Day." As far as Akshay Kumar is concerned, the actor wrote in Hindi, "May the glory of our tricolour always remain; let there be hope in every heart and a dream of a better tomorrow in every eye." He further wished 'Happy Independence Day' to all.
