The excitement around Cocktail 2 is at an all-time high! Directed by Homi Adajania, the rom-com features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
It is the second installment in the successful Cocktail franchise. Two weeks ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have finally unveiled Cocktail 2's trailer at a grand launch event in Mumbai. It was supposed to be out on May 29; however, it dropped today. The official glimpse of Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika's film has sparked great reactions online, and left fans excited for its release.

Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2 trailer offers glimpses of Shahid's crackling onscreen chemistry with Kriti and Rashmika. The new trio in this franchise promises double the fun, double the chaos. In this movie, Shahid essays the role of Kunal, while Kriti will be essaying the character of Ally. Rashmika, on the other hand, portrays Diya in the rom-com. It has been written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. According to media reports, Cocktail 2's lead actor Shahid apparently received Rs 35 crore for the film. As for Kriti and Rashmika, the actresses apparently charged Rs 15 crore for their respective characters.

Meanwhile, in exclusive interview with Zoom, Kriti opened up about working with Rashmika on Cocktail 2. The actress said, "She's just a very genuine person, kind, lovely and warm. No insecurity. Just goodness, and I think I'm a vibe person." Kriti added that she gets drawn towards positivity and good aura. The actress further reflected on comparisons between Cocktail part one and two. She clarified that the second installment is not a sequel, but more of a vibe franchise.
About Cocktail franchise
For the unversed, the 2012 film featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. Saif was seen as Gautam, while Deepika played the role of Veronica. As for Diana, she essayed the character of Meera. Produced by Maddock Films and Illuminati Films, the rom-com made Rs 71.24 crore in India and minted Rs 121.78 crore at the worldwide box office. It remains to be seen how the second part will perform at the ticket window.
