Nora Fatehi Had Earlier Recorded Her Statement In Sukesh Chandrashekhar Case
This is not the first time Nora Fatehi has appeared before a court in connection with the investigation. In January 2023, the actress appeared before Patiala House Court in Delhi, where she recorded her statement before a magistrate to assist the investigation into the Rs 200 crore money laundering case. Following her court appearance, Nora's advocate Vikram Singh Chauhan spoke about her cooperation with the investigating agencies. He maintained that his client had faith in the judicial process and had consistently assisted the authorities whenever required.
During the investigation, Nora was reportedly questioned about the gifts she had received from Sukesh Chandrashekhar. According to earlier reports, she was asked more than 50 questions in connection with the gifts and her interactions with the jailed conman. Reports also stated that Nora told investigators that she had no connection with Jacqueline Fernandez and that the two actresses were communicating with Sukesh separately. She reportedly revealed that Sukesh's wife had contacted her regarding a nail art event and subsequently stayed in touch with her. The reports further claimed that she had received a BMW and other gifts.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of orchestrating an alleged ₹200 crore extortion racket while lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail. The case involves allegations of cheating and extorting money from a businessman’s wife by impersonating influential government officials. The investigation has also brought several Bollywood celebrities into the spotlight over their alleged interactions with Sukesh and the gifts they reportedly received from him. Jacqueline Fernandez has also been questioned in connection with the money laundering investigation. Nora's upcoming appearance before the Rouse Avenue Court on November 2 is expected to be part of the prosecution's proceedings in the case.
