Sanjay Leela Bhansali, one of India’s most sought-after filmmakers, is all set to push the boundaries of storytelling once again with another larger-than-life
film. This time, the spectacle is doubled, as acclaimed filmmaker Ketan Mehta has come on board for the project. Titled Jai Somanth, it is a "seminal tale of Indian civilisation." Already being touted as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious historical films, the period drama is slated for release in 2027. Mehta is writing and directing the project, which is being bankrolled under the banners of Bhansali Productions and Maya Movies.
