Even as BTS grears up for its comeback with a new album next year, its member Jungkook seems to be in a race of his own. The idol has made a huge record
with his Golden. It has become the first album by a K-pop soloist in history to have three music videos above 200 million views on YouTube. The feat was achieved after its single Standing Next to You joined his previous tracks Seven (featuring Latto) and 3D (featuring Jack Harlow) crossing the mark.
Jungkook takes over PSY's record on YouTube
On August 24, it was revealed that Standing Next to You has surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. The Golden Maknae of BTS has defeated other K-pop icons like PSY, Blackpink's Lisa, Jennie and Rose, and his own bandmates Suga in the ranking. Jungkook is the K-pop soloist with the most official videos surpassing 200 million views on Youtube (8), surpassing PSY (7).
Jungkook overthrows BTS on Spotify
In other news, Jungkook has also become the Asian act with the most songs crossing 500 million charted streams on the Global Spotify Chart, surpassing BTS. Golden's three songs have peaked at #1, the most for any album this decade and fourth overall project in history. Its Seven earned 2.5 billion streams on Spotify making it the first and only song by an Asian artist on the music streaming app.
Fans react to Jungkook's new records
Fans of JK has now stayed cam ever since, flooding social media with reactions. One user wrote on X, "When you dominate across every platform, not just one… Congrats Jungkook! The iconic Big Three singles from #GOLDEN by #Jungkook." Another one said, "Surpassing BTS on Spotify and now surpassed Psy on YouTube , Jungkook truly is the GOAT."

"This is only the beginning. JUNGKOOK's star will rise higher and shine brighter. The sky is the limit," one post read. A second post stated, "Jungkook keeps rewriting history again and again! So proud of our legend."
This comes after Jungkook earned his fourth Gold certification from France’s National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) for his solo single 3D from the same album.
