Marvel might face the heat of leaked trailers this week. After Avengers: Doomday, now Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: Brand New Day's trailer has allegedly
leaked on the internet. Though some fans claim it might be an AI-generated first look of the upcoming movie on Peter Parker, more netizens are convinced it is infact the real one. On December 16, the trailer of Spider-Man 4 surfaced on social media, quickly sending the MCU fandom into a frenzy. Though many expressed disappointement, Marvel geeks got to work to decode the possible plot of the next big offering in the franchise.
What's in Spider-Man: Brand New Day leaked trailer?
The leaked trailer shows Tom Hollan's web-slinging superhero narrating, "Hi, my name is Peter Parker. You don't remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was gonna happen, and the only way to stop it...was to make everyone forget about me."
Recalling the aftermath of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) where Doctor Strange had to make the world forget Spider-Man, Tom adds, "Because I'm not just Peter Parker, I'm Spider-Man. And sometimes, Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart."
Sadie Sink in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
The highly anticipated new cast member, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink (in all possibility) is heard warning Spider-Man to keep a distance from her and not get in her way. As Spidey struggles to regain control of his powers, there even seems a sequence where he wakes up trapped inside a web-like cocoon. As per internet chatter, the video also includes Red Ninja clan, Boomerang as an antagonist, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.
Though the blurry video makes it a tad difficult to understand what's happening properly, there are slo-mo shots, seemingly unfinished. There are also some snapshots that are comic book-inspired. Fans were quick to guess they are recreating the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15 and showing Spider-Man leaping into battle against The Hand.
According to reports, the leaked trailer was filmed while playing on a desktop during the post-production recently.
