The Mumbai Police have been thoroughly investigating the Tiger Shroff Firing Incident since last Sunday. The three accused, who were in touch with Lawrence
Bishnoi gang's Anil Pandit, were nabbed from Kota while they were on their way to Jaipur, before fleeing to Nepal. Amid the investigation, a 17-year-old accused told the investigators that Tiger was on the Bishnoi gang's hit list for praising Salman Khan in 2022. According to his statement, the minor claimed that Shroff was attacked as he spoke about Khan during the promotions of Heropanti 2.
Why was Tiger Shroff attacked?
During the interrogation, the minor claimed that he did not know the motive behind the attack. A Times of India report claimed that police sources said that the alleged assailant had been told by Anil Pandit that the Bishnoi gang wanted to 'revenge' for that remark. The Mumbai Police are said to be investigating this claim.
While promoting Heropanti 2, Tiger quipped, "Is industry mein ek hi hai Tiger, aur woh hai Salman Sir. I am just a billi in front of him. I am Simba, a tiger cub... (There's only one tiger in the industry, and that's Salman)"
Who are the accused?
The three accused have been identified as a 17-year-old son of a potter who hails from Haryana. The second accused is Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, a 22-year-old resident of Piprai, District Begusarai, Bihar. He worked as a Rapido rider. The third accused is named Rehan, an 18-year-old resident of Idgah Colony, PS Sadar, Sonepat, Haryana.
Three accused have been remanded to police custody until October 28. The Mumbai Police continue to investigate the incident and gather evidence to establish the sequence of events. While the police sought an extension of custody until October 31, the court granted it only until October 28.
Tiger Shroff Firing Case details
According to the initial investigation, the assailants were closely following Tiger and had kept track of his routine activities, including his visit to the gym. Besides him, they scouted the residences of actors including Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and many others.
Before Tiger, Rohit Shetty, Kapil Sharma, AP Dhillon, Guru Randhawa, and Gippy Grewal were attacked by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Bollywood celebrities are the jailed gangster's target due to their connection with Salman, who was named in the Blackbuck Poaching Case.
On October 18, the three assailants opened fire immediately after Tiger left the football ground. The incident took place just 300 meters away from the Juhu Police Station. Reportedly, the three men on a bike fled towards SV Road and Vile Parle railway station after attacking Shroff's car. While the actor sustained injuries from gunpowder and broken glass, his driver had to be hospitalised after a bullet allegedly hit him.
