Sunny Deol's exciting lineup of Bollywood films includes Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947. While Santoshi is directing the project, Aamir Khan is on board
as producer. The latest development about this project is that Sunny and the director are ready to implement the suggestions recommended by Aamir. As per a media report, the B-town actor will soon resume shooting for his upcoming film, Lahore 1947.
Update on Sunny Deol's Lahore 1947
The upcoming leg of Lahore 1947's shoot is expected to be the last one. The entire unit of Santoshi's film will reportedly head to Punjab and the prep for it is underway. A source informed Mid-Day that Sunny will resume shooting for Lahore 1947 on October 10. And the shoot will apparently go on for 12 days.
"Sunny and Santoshi sir will shoot most of these newly envisioned sequences in real locations of Punjab," the source said. And while the film stars Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, the upcoming leg willy only have Sunny. The media report suggests that the other cast members have already wrapped shooting their portions.

The source further mentioned, "But as Aamir, Sunny, and Santoshi sat down to discuss the film’s progress, they unanimously agreed that it was more important to have a superior quality product than compromise on the vision for a quick release." When the film initially went on floors in 2024, it was reported that the makers were eyeing for 2025 release. At present, they're reportedly considering to release it next year.
Sunny Deol's upcoming films
On the work front, Sunny has Border 2 with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty lined up. The actor will also be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 and 2. He plays the character of Lord Hanuman in Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi-starrer.
