What is the story about?
K-pop seems to have ruled 2025. With major chart listings of the year giving shoutouts to Korean music and artists, it was surely a year of smash hits
from this side of the globe. After YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music, now Billboard has released its 2025 Year-End Charts, and several K-pop artists succeeded in claiming impressive spots across major categories. APT by Blackpink Rosé and Bruno Mars refuses to budge. It has secured a remarkable No. 9 on the Hot 100, along with topping the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts owing to its strong streaming performance worldwide.
APT, KPop Demon Hunters rule
On December 10, Billboard revealed its aforementioned chart listings. Closely following APT, the soundtrack of Netflix animation KPop Demon Hunters also marked its powerful impact on the year-end rankings. The OST that created history with five Grammy nominations for the 2026 awards, swept through Billboard too. Its fictional band Huntr/x's Golden landed at No. 25 on the Hot 100, followed by Saja Boys song Your Idol at No. 54. Its other tracks Soda Pop (No. 61), How It's Done (No. 68), What It Sounds Like (No. 83), and Takedown (No. 93), all found their way through Billboard too.
