Drishyam 3 X Reviews: Fans Hail Mohanlal's Film
One viewer praised the film as a “masterclass in suspense cinema,” writing highly on the gripping storytelling, strong twists, emotional parts, and Mohanlal’s performance, calling it a proud moment for Malayalam cinema.
Another user posted that the film builds steadily, describing the first half as intense and typical of the franchise, while writing the second half holds the main impact, with strong performances from Mohanlal and Meena.
However, not all reactions were positive. One viewer criticised the film as slow-paced and predictable, calling it underwhelming compared to previous installments.
Another review described it as a slow-burning plot focused more on Georgekutty’s family life and everyday struggles, with only subtle hints of the larger thriller plot before the interval.
Another user was not impressed with the Telugu-dubbed version, he posted that the film follows a typical Drishyam structure with a strong setup-driven first half. The user felt it was more grounded than the earlier films but still retained its suspense. However, the user also mentioned that watching Mohanlal instead of Venkatesh felt slightly odd, and criticised the Telugu dubbing as poor.
Another viewer described the film as average overall but still strong enough to become a potential industry hit. The user felt the first half started slowly but improved with a strong interval block, while the second half remained underwhelming.
A fan of Malayalam cinema praised the film enthusiastically, calling it a “Thooki” (superb). The user said the first half was solid and the second half delivered an unexpected blast, with suspense and reveals working effectively in theatres. The final 30 minutes were good as especially powerful, and they felt Drishyam 3 stands even taller than Drishyam 2, also crediting Mohanlal’s performance and the writing. Another viewer urged audiences to watch the film before spoilers spread online, writing that it follows a similar pattern to previous parts.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, the film serves as a sequel to Drishyam 2 (2021) and the third installment in the Drishyam franchise. It features Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, and Asha Sarath, all reprising their roles from the earlier films.
