Not only in real-life, friends in Bollywood films have raised the bar higher with their selflessness. Be it Sanju and Kamli in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju or Bunny and Avi in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, they make lives easier. On the occasion of Friendship Day 2026, here’s celebrating on-screen friends who redefine the relationship.
Pathaan and Tiger
Though Pathaan and Tiger, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, have their own worlds and problems to deal with, they stand by each other when a threat comes knocking at the door. The iconic crossover in Shah Rukh-led Pathaan followed by Salman’s Tiger 3 redefines friendship in modern Indian cinema. Pathaan and Tiger might not meet each other often, but they know when to show up, and that is what makes this friendship solid.
Jai and Aditi
Before confessing their love for each other, Jai and Aditi were ‘hashtag’ friendship goals in the early 2000s. That was the time when cinema was changing. New faces were finding their foot.
