All about Manveer Gurjar's BB win!
In a breakthrough moment for Indian reality TV, Manveer Gurjar - a farmer and dairy business owner from Aghapur village in Noida, Uttar Pradesh - became the first true commoner to win Bigg Boss.
Manveer, whose full name is Manoj Kumar Baisoya, entered Bigg Boss competing against well-known television personalities. Despite the tough competition, he won hearts with his genuineness and resilience. The show’s tagline—“Indiawaalo ise apna hi ghar samjho” - fit him perfectly, as he emerged victorious in a show otherwise dominated by celebrities.
He took home the coveted trophy and a prize of Rs 40 lakh, a significant sum that had been reduced from the original Rs 50 lakh during the course of the show.
Reflecting on his win, Manveer said, “When I walked inside the Bigg Boss house, my only aim was to mend my broken relationships and show the world who the real Manveer is. Every day in Bigg Boss, I strived to achieve this goal. Today, as I hold the Bigg Boss trophy, I cannot help but recollect every single day that I spent inside the house—every task, every circumstance. I want to thank my family, friends, and all the viewers of Bigg Boss for their unconditional love and support; it’s their belief in me that has brought me to this juncture. I would especially like to mention the relationships that I have fostered inside the Bigg Boss house—they have been instrumental in shaping my personality in many ways.”
